Specifications include, but are not limited to: Procedures to remove snow or ice from hard surface areas will commence when unsafe conditions warrant. Exterior maintenance contractor should be notified of conditions by Campus Police, Safety and Health officers or UT Community. • Plowing Procedures o When Plowing: Do not block entranceways, doorways, and handicap ramps, and move snow as far off plowed area as possible as to make room for future snows. Do not block in cars, plow snow away from vehicles. Do not block or cover drains, the melted snow needs somewhere to drain. Use caution and do not drive over turf. Stay on hard surface areas, become familiar with the areas that you are plowing. 1. When snow or ice or other unsafe conditions develop, UT Campus Police will notify company contact for immediate response to take place. The university will be manned 24 hours Monday - Friday and 7:00am - 3:30pm on Saturday and Sunday with on call coverage for the rest of the day both Saturday and Sunday. This will ensure safe conditions at all campuses and keep Campus Police and UT representative aware of conditions and action plans.
