Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Snow Plowing/Clearing and Deicing: The Contractor shall plow/clear and deice all coverage areas, including during storms, to allow safe access and movement of staff. Refer to the Site Maps for coverage areas. See DS-2,-3,-4 for conditions that trigger these services. For sites with a monthly snow plowing charge, the Contractor shall return to the property as often as necessary to keep the coverage areas safe and free of ice and snow. At no time, shall there be a hazardous/life safety condition. The Contractor shall include all costs of the monthly service in the bid unit price. 2) Slippery Conditions Anytime: When surfaces are slippery and/or temperatures are at or below freezing, the Contractor shall spread ice melt on sidewalks and walkways and deicer on parking areas. 3) Areas to Pile Snow: The Contractor shall pile snow in areas approved by the District, as indicated in the attached Site Maps. Snow piles shall block as few employee parking spots as possible. The Contractor shall clear snow from gates and ensure snow is not piled up in a manner that could damage fencing of neighboring properties. 4) Additional Deicing: The District site contact may ask the Contractor to return to a site to provide additional deicing. Additional deicing shall be performed within two (2) hours of the District site contact’s request. The Contractor shall include the costs of this service in the monthly charge for the facility. 5) Curb Indicators: The Contractor shall install curb indicators before the first snowfall. The Contractor shall include the costs of this service in the monthly charge for the facility. 6) Inspections: The Contractor shall inspect the property for pre-existing damage and submit a report with photos detailing all pre-existing damage by commencement of contract award
