Trees to be purchased and planted with the following as guidelines: Tree selection must be of non-host ALB species from the list provided in the Bid Form. Substitutions for cultivars are allowed within genus of similar characteristic trees with preference going to original requested tree species. It is required to list full scientific name with cultivar in bid. All plant material shall comply with the American Standard for Nursery Stock ANZI Z60.1-2004. Trees shall have single, straight trunks and leaders and shall be well branched according to their habit of growth. All trees shall be healthy representatives, typical of their species or variety and shall have a normal habit of growth. They shall be full, well branched, well proportioned, and have a vigorous, well-developed root system capable of sustaining vigorous growth. Good nursery stock shall be selected. Trees must be hardy and tolerant of southwest Ohio growing conditions. All trees shall be labeled denoting species and cultivar. 1½“ to 2” inch caliper single trunk size range, unless otherwise indicated on the Bid Form.
