Sidewalk panels marked for replacement (with an orange “X”) shall be removed with care. Saw cutting may be required. Damage to adjacent pavement, trees, streets, and other elements of the right-of-way shall be avoided. Damage to nearby turf shall be minimized. All debris shall be disposed of in a legal and proper manner by Contractor. Ignore panels marked with a white dot. Sidewalk panels that have been removed shall be replaced within 7 working days of the removal. 12. Restoration: When forms are removed, Contractor shall backfill all excavated areas with pulverized topsoil free of debris within 7 days after the sidewalk panel has been poured. Grade of replaced topsoil shall match that of adjacent sidewalk. Area shall be reseeded with a premium Kentucky bluegrass/perennial ryegrass/red fescue blended seed. All seed shall be approved by the Superintendent of Parks and Forestry or his/her designee prior to use, and a copy of the seed label shall be submitted to same (noxious weed content of seed shall be 0%). Seed shall be gently raked into topsoil. An educational leaflet regarding seeding as provided by the City shall be left in the door (not the mailbox) of the abutting residence/building upon completion of seeding.
