The purpose of this effort is to identify and/or sustain connections and develop or enhance plans for promoting health equity in sexual violence prevention efforts with new or existing partners using shared leadership. The project will also emphasize working with partners in areas of Ohio identified as OhioHealth Improvement Zones (odh.ohio.gov/know-our-programs/health-equity/health-improvement-zones) and high priority school zones. As a secondary focus of the project, ODH is also seeking more information on services and resources that best support Black/African American survivors of sexual violence. This information will support priorities for future program funding through the Sexual Assault Services Program grant awards, and also contributes to prevention as support for victim/survivors to lesson harm is an additional strategy of CDC’s STOP SV Technical Package to Prevent Sexual Violence.
