1) A commitment to providing exemplary experience to our students including periodic assessment of services provided. 2) The provision of a full range of services, books, supplies, and other merchandise for the academic and broader University community. 3) Recognition of and sensitivity to the issues of affordability for students attending institutions of higher education and a commitment to supporting pathways, whenever possible, to affordable course materials as adopted by faculty. 4) The timely supply of textbooks and related academic supplies, as requiredor recommended by Kent State faculty, in sufficient quantities at competitive market pricing. 5) The availability of a broad selection of merchandise that supports the academic disciplines of the University, including the support of graduation related regalia and a minimum stock level for specialty items related therein. Partner specifically with The Office of University Events and Protocol and work with other university partners to accomplish graduation and related regalia events. 6) The supply of required materials to support instruction in academic disciplines (art, architecture, nursing etc.). 7) Timely response to and supply of special orders and on-line requests. 8) Provision of general retail merchandise (e.g. logo items, apparel, gift items, greeting cards, etc.).9) Maintenance of a with northeast Ohio vendors, particularly minority and/or women-owned businesses. 10) Involvement in the academic, cultural and social environment, offeringspecial merchandising and 11) Delivery of financial commissions for the University based upon total annual gross sales of the bookstore, as well as a specification of a proposed minimum annual guaranteed amount(s). (Ref. pages 27 12) Accepting all current Kent State University bookstore employees who choose to remain with the bookstore as employees of Kent State University and reimbursing Kent State University for the actual salary and benefit expenses of these employees.
