Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this request is to establish contract pricing to provide service, maintenance, repair/emergency repair, replacement and new installations of security gates, operators, fencing and associated components at various locations in ODOT Districts 1, 6, 7, 11 and 12, all in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications herein. • Proper fencing and vehicle entry gate operation is essential to a core function of ODOT; therefore, downtime must be kept to a minimum. See Section 8: Labor, 8.4 and 8.5 for normal and emergency response times. • The awarded vendor(s) will be required to maintain a file of all maintenance work performed for the life of the contract. The owners are to have a copy of the work performed immediately upon completion, for their records. The description of the work performed, or items checked shall have enough detail to meet compliance requirements and allow the owner to maintain an accurate record of maintenance. • The contractor shall be responsible for any act or neglect of their employees when performing work under this contract. The contractor’s employees shall observe the rules and regulations of the facility when engaged in work under this contract on the facility’s premises and those adjacent private or public properties. • The vendor shall bring all tools, chemicals, and materials, etc., with them to each service call and take all items with them when finished. No on-site storage shall be provided by ODOT. Due to the many unforeseen factors that relate to the operation and maintenance of perimeter security gates, operators and fencing, it is impossible to guarantee that work will be performed at any/all sites in the state. Award of this contract does not guarantee any of the following: 1. All sites will need contracted services 2. The exact scope of contracted services for all sites 3. That any work will be contracted at any site The exact nature of work is not known but may include, and is not limited to the following contracted services: • Perform Standard, Scheduled and Emergency repair services to gates, operators, fencing and associated components • Remove existing perimeter security gates • Furnish and install new perimeter security gates • Remove and/or install new concrete pads, footings and bases • Perform electrical system repairs, modifications and installations • Coordinate communications/security system repairs, modifications and installations with current ODOT access and security vendor (paid by ODOT directly, outside of this contract) • Welding and fabrication of steel
