Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Columbus Regional Airport Authority, hereafter referred to as the “Authority” or “CRAA”, is seeking proposals for the purpose of entering into a three (3) year contract for the provision of Snow Removal and Salt Application Services to support the needs of the Authority through its Airfield Maintenance Department. This agreement will also have the option for two (2), one (1) year extensions. Services as defined here in shall be available twenty – four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, including holidays. The services will be available between the months of November through April. The services perfomed under this contract will include snow removal and salt application services for road systems and sidewalks as identified by the Authority. Snow removal shall consist of pushing all snow off the surfaces of designated areas to bare pavement. Salt application shall involve the even distribution of rock salt across the same surfaces being plowed by means of a salt spreader. The rate of application should be pre-calibrated as recommended by the Authority. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, fuel, lubricants, parts, maintenance repairs, and all items of cost nessesary to adequately perform the services identified here in. Deicing materials, including but not limited to rock salt and other related materials, utilized under this contract will be supplied by the Authority. The need for services as identified within shall be determined and requested as needed solely by the Authority. No guarantee or identified quanity of actual services is implied or expressed by this Contract. Service requirements shall be determined as needed by the Authority. Proposers are strongly encouraged to inspect each site prior to submitting a proposal. Failure to do so will not relieve the successful bidder of his/her obligation to carry out the scope of the resulting contract.
