Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Respondent must have been in business, providing sign language interpreting services and coordination, for at least two (2) years. This must be clearly documented on the Respondent Experience Summary form (Attachment Two). Respondent shall ensure all assigned interpreters have the skill and knowledge to complete the work. B. Respondent acknowledges that Respondent and the assigned interpreters are representing OOD and the State of Ohio and will abide by a code of conduct appropriate to their profession and the work of the State of Ohio. C. Respondent shall provide a total of two hundred and sixteen (216) hours of sign language interpreting services which equates to twelve (12) days, eighteen (18) hours of interpreting each day between the hours of 10:00 am - 7:00 pm of the State Fair, July 24 - August 4, 2024. Respondent may identify the number of shifts and interpreters required to satisfy this requirement. 1. OOD shall provide a detailed schedule of events during the State Fair to be covered as soon as available, but not prior to July 5, 2024. Respondent shall make arrangements for coverage that can be flexible and finalized once the schedule is provided. 2. OOD shall provide written details about the various events during the State Fair, including keywords and a description of the physical spaces, prior to the start of the State Fair. D. Respondent shall identify a single point of contact. Responsibilities of Respondent’s single point of contact shall include, but not be limited to: 1. All communications between Respondent and OOD will flow through the single point of contact. 2. At no time shall Respondent, Respondent’s single point of contact, or Respondent’s interpreters have any communication with entities outside of OOD (i.e., State Fair staff, event staff, media) about the work being performed for OOD or speaking on OOD’s behalf without authorization from the OOD Chief of Communications. 3. Required meetings as outlined in Section 2 Statement of Services Letter H - It is estimated these required meetings will require no more than fifteen (15) hours; 4. Site visits to the State Fair to observe and/or supervise interpreter(s), including but not limited to wages, mileage, parking, entrance fees, and meals; 5. Respondent’s single point of contact shall have a plan in place to provide interpreter coverage in the event of am interpreter’s unplanned absence.
