Summit Behavioral Healthcare, located at 1101 Summit Rd, Cincinnati OH, 45237, is a restricted and secure residential psychiatric hospital environment. It operates 24/7, 365 days per year. Summit is the largest behavioral health hospital in the state and has about 291 patient beds throughout the facility. This project will look to upgrade or replace much of the facility’s infrastructure and system components (primarily HVAC) as needed. Anticipated upgrades include but are not limited to new controls, chillers, boilers and multiple AHU’s to be incorporated into the building. There will need to be a feasibility study completed on converting 2 of the existing steam boilers to hot water and how that will impact the 2 air handlers they feed, this may also impact domestic water. Depending on how the boilers are handled, a new heat exchange system may be required. New split case pumps will also be included. Part of the building is pneumatically controlled, and part of the building is DDC. We would like to unite the entire building under one DDC system.
