The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is requesting qualifications from interested Architect/Engineer (A/E) teams for a renovation in the Ross Heart Hospital, located at 452 W 10th Ave. This project will renovate room H2218 (Cath Lab #5) to replace existing medical equipment, reconfigure room to accommodate new imaging equipment, add an anesthesia boom and updating finishes to meet Medical Center’s standards. The adjacent control room H2218A will also be renovated, including replacing a lead glass window and updating finishes. This will require renovating approximately 700 square feet in the Ross Heart Hospital (rooms H2218 and H2218A). A hybrid catheter lab that can be used for multidisciplinary interventional cardiovascular procedures will be the basis of design for the Interventional Image-Guided Solution. It is anticipated that this Cardiovascular Interventional Lab will function as a Class 2 Imaging room per 2022 FGI Guidelines. Room H2218 may require structural and/or MEP utility upgrades to support the new equipment, and the A/E team will help validate the space and construction budget to accommodate these upgrades. Equipment coordination is required for this project. The full scope of the project may change.
