The salt (minimum 94% sodium chloride) shall be of CC Grade Rock Salt with Storite or equal added to prevent caking in storage. Salt will be used for ice control on the streets of North Olmsted. Resolution authorizes receipt of bids for an estimated up to 9,000 tons of rock salt per one-year period of the contract. If all of the 9,000 tons are not delivered in the first year of the contract, the remaining tons may be delivered in the second year of the contract. Delivery will be to the City’s seventy-two foot (72’) Dome Salt Storage Building located at 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Minimum truckload to be stated by the bidder. All material delivered is to be dumped at Dome Salt Storage Building. City requires truck delivery; blower delivery is not expected or required by the City and shall not be permitted unless specifically authorized by the Service Director.
