Specifications include, but are not limited to: Select a qualified Architectural/Engineering firm that is interested in providing professional analysis, planning, consultation, and design services necessary to prepare site plans, construction drawings, architectural plans and bidding documents for a new Public Works Facility; The City of Vandalia’s Public Works Division has been operating out of an outdated and undersized facility for many years. The City of Vandalia has recently acquired a 16 acre parcel of land to be the new site of the Public Works Facility. The site is located at 810 Northwoods Boulevard and is situated immediately to the east of the Kroger shopping center on Northwoods Boulevard. The proposed facility shall include but not be limited to: • Office space for administrative staff • Training areas, restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, break/lunch rooms etc. • Heated storage area to house all Public Works equipment, vehicles and supplies. • Mechanic bay to perform maintenance on all of the equipment listed above. (Detailed list can be provided) • Fueling station to support vehicles from Public Works, Police, Fire and Development & Engineering • Salt storage for up to 2,000 tons of highway rock salt • Storage areas for gravel, topsoil and other materials • Storage areas for other items such as catch basins, fire hydrants, pipe, etc.
