All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified consulting firms to provide technology and strategy support services for a period commencing on or around October 1, 2022 and expiring September 30, 2024, with an option to renew for up to one additional one year term. The purpose of this contract will be to provide professional services for projects as required by COTA. A key requirement will be the vendors experience in the Public Transit sector with the ability to leverage experience or engagements with other private business sectors. Excellent understanding of software application management, software vendor management, data engineering, change management, analytics, blockchain, report design, regulatory impact on technology, emerging technology and its potential impact on transit, and transit operations knowledge is a significant criterion in the consultant selection process. COTA is seeking a diversity of skills. Your proposal should emphasize the quality of services and expertise your firm offers. Selected activities will be identified by COTA leadership and may include some or all of the following projects which will be further discussed in the following pages: • Cybersecurity including overall knowledge and direct impact on Public Transit • Development, Guidance, and Best Practices for setting up a Data Infrastructure • Experience with Artificial intelligence and usage withing Public Transit • Experience outlining and supporting the execution of an overall Technology strategy • Connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles • Understanding the landscape, challenges and opportunities in transit for COTA executive team • Technology vendor contract Review • Paratransit Strategy Additionally, the Consultant may be requested to provide professional services for other tasks as deemed necessary by COTA leadership. The selected consultant shall have experience and competencies in emerging transportation technologies. Miscellaneous work for emerging technologies may include: • Connected, autonomous and electric vehicles; • First and last mile connectivity and micromobility; • Mobility as a service and mobility on demand (and related technologies and strategies); • Data analytics; • Blockchain and cryptocurrency along with potential impacts for Public Transit • Funding and financial strategies for advanced technologies; • Modeling and simulation for advanced technologies; • Emerging technologies alternatives analysis; • Artificial intelligence; • Cybersecurity
