ODRC is seeking a Protestant Contract Chaplain for Chillicothe Correctional Institution located at 15802 State Route 104, North, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601. The contract chaplain will perform duties consisting of: Conduct weekly Protestant worship services. Conduct religious study or education classes. Provide general Pastoral care to Protestant incarcerated persons, which may include: consultation concerning religious issues, grief care, crisis pastoral counseling and pastoral visitation with incarcerated persons in specialized units which may include temporary housing units (TPU), death row, hospital, hospice, living units and visiting room. Attend an annual Religious Services Meeting – Mandatory. Make referrals of incarcerated persons to appropriate services. Distribute religious literature and/or materials. Conduct religious programs. Assist Chaplain in appropriate duties and/or conducting of religious programs. Perform holiday services (i.e. Easter and Christmas) Conduct funeral services. Contractor must submit an itemized, signed and dated letterhead Invoice with their respective supplier number reflected, before the 10th of each month. A unique invoice number must be included. Complete a Monthly Report form on services provided to be submitted to the DWSS and the ODRC Religious Services Administrator – Operation Support Center no later than the 5th of each month.
