The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority ("SORTA"), commonly referred to as Cincinnati Metro seeks bids from qualified organizations or individuals to purchase property that are no longer needed by the Agency. This parcels, (approximately 0.429 acres) is located on the north side of Williams Avenue and extends northward to Waverly Avenue in the city of Norwood, Ohio. Cincinnati Metro purchased this property with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) assistance for potential implementation of light rail transit service. This property was originally railroad right of way and purchased from Conrail at auction. The railroad was abandoned prior to SORTA's purchase at auction. Cincinnati Metro has determined that it does not intend to implement rail transit and no longer needs to retain ownership of the property for transit purposes. Cincinnati Metro intends to sell of the property and determine the FTA’s interest in the proceeds of any transfer of the property.
