The area was primarily a farm and ranch land at the time. Atpresent there are approximately 7,600 homes and nearly 15,000 residents. It is estimated that thebuild-out of the area is likely be in the range of 10,000 - 11,150 units. The Denver Public Schools serve approximately 72,751students in a metropolitan area with apopulation of more than 450,000. The District is comprised of 151 total schools: 73 elementary,15 K-8, 17 middle, 14 high, 19 charters, 7 alternative and 6 other. The school district coversapproximately 200 square miles
