Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. In General. The general scope of duties include but are not limited to: traffic control in park areas, office and building security, proper periodic patrol of grounds both interior and exterior areas and any appropriate adjoining property. It is necessary that guards patrol the perimeter of the park being very visible and spending limited time in the office. Guards may be required to maintain order at park events and to expel individuals not complying with park regulations or appropriate city ordinances and state statutes. Specific routines, procedures and check points to interior and exterior patrol will be determined and promulgated by the Park director or designee.; 2. Specific Locations. The City hereby requests that the proposals demonstrate that the security firm is capable of providing the following professional security services at the specific locations described below: a. North Side Pool (620 Tod Lane): The security firm must be able to provide a minimum of five (5) guards for the North Side pool, which is open from June to Labor Day from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM (although hours may vary). These guards must be professional, community-oriented, appear in uniform, and be armed and unarmed with both lethal and non-lethal safety equipment. b. Recreation Center (903 Otis Street): The security firm must be able to provide both interior and exterior security during all hours of the Recreation Center’s operation. This includes two late nights per week plus Saturday (see City website for hours of operation). The security firm must also be able to demonstrate that it can deploy a minimum of two (2) guards for special events at the Recreation Center upon City’s request.; c. Wick Park (Park Ave. and Pennsylvania Ave.): The security firm must demonstrate that a guard will be dispatched to Wick Park on a daily basis, and be able to deploy at least two (2) guards during special events and facility rentals upon City’s request.; d. Rental Sites and Other Park Locations: The security firm must demonstrate its ability to check all rental sites and other park locations on a daily basis via its patrol unit. Summer Camp Locations: The security firm must demonstrate its ability to adequately provide security-related services for City’s summer camp locations and events.
