Water/Wastewater needs operational support at three water treatment facilities: South Bass Island, Kell's Island and Findley State Park. Specifications Background DNR is looking for a contractor capable of operating its wastewater treatment plants on South Bass Island, Kelly’s Island, and Findley State Parks. Both plants are .02MGD extended aeration plants. Kelley’s has UV disinfection. The treatment plants and operations are the same at both island locations. Services are needed from April – November 15th annually. Findley State Park will be operated year round. Ferry fees and scheduling – operator is responsible for paying ferry fees to and from the island. Operator may include these fees on the monthly invoice to DNR. Weekly inspections to include – 3 visits a week by a Class 1 or higher wastewater operator. All operational checks logged in logbook to meet EPA requirements. Troubleshoot any issues; Meet with county and/or EPA inspectors as needed. The plant uses chlorine and bisulfite to disinfect. These chemicals will be provided for disinfection requirements. Complete process control testing; Lab analysis – Weekly/Monthly/ Quarterly testing, sampling and reporting required by the OEPA including sample delivery to lab. Complete monthly EPA DMR (Discharge Monitor Report) online including staffing requirement reporting via ebiz. Respond to violations. DNR will pay for sampling and to receive the reports directly.
