Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor will provide trainers who will be responsible for up to 12, 3-day, in-person NOVA CCRT Trainings. The NOVA CCRT Trainings must offer techniques and protocols on the fundamentals of crisis and trauma including best practices for responders offering trauma-informed individual and group crisis intervention and emotional first aid in the aftermath of disaster or other mass casualty event. The Contractor will provide up to two (2), 3-day trainings per Ohio region. Trainings will be held at various locations in the six (6) OhioMHAS hospital regions, which will include Cuyahoga County, Stark County, Athens County, Montgomery County, Franklin County, and Lucas County. Contractor will work collaboratively with OhioMHAS to determine the logistics of each training including but not limited to dates, times, and locations of each training. The following training themes and objectives must be covered during each of the 3-day CRT Trainings: Orientation on Crisis Response Teams •Objectives: To initiate training and group cohesion and create expectations for training including group projects. Overview of Crisis Response •Objectives: To define trauma and describe how crisis response and intervention can contribute to coping with trauma. The Trauma Response Internal Factors •Objectives: To recognize the 3 stages of the physical and emotional crisis reaction, distinguish between normal brain function & traumatic brain function and understand how trauma affects brain function. The Trauma Response •Objectives: To sample a variety of dimensions surrounding a traumatic event and use these factors for considerations of diagramming a disaster. Crisis Intervention •Objectives: To identify, explain, and practice Safety & Security, Ventilation & Validation and Prediction & Preparation. Group Crisis Intervention •Objectives: To identify, explain and practice Safety & Security, Ventilation & Validation and Prediction & Preparation applied to a group. Death, Loss, and Grief •Objectives: Engage participants on the concept of death and loss and prepare participants to consider their own ‘stuff’ before becoming a responder Death Notification •Objectives: To understand key concrete steps to conveying uniquely bad news like a death notification
