The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is requesting qualifications from interested Architect/Engineer (“A/E”) teams for a bundle of 3 X-ray renovations at the following (3) locations: The James Cancer Hospital – 460 W 12th Ave, Columbus, Ohio – Ground floor At the James Cancer Hospital, we will be replacing an existing X-ray in D015/D015A on the ground floor in the Emergency Department. This is approximately 350 square feet and includes any electrical/infrastructure upgrades required for the new x-ray, as well as new finishes and possible casework. Ohio State Outpatient Care Gahanna – 920 N Hamilton Rd, Gahanna, Ohio – 1 st Floor At Outpatient Care Gahanna, we will be replacing an existing X-ray on the 1st floor in room 704/704A. This is approximately 300 square feet and includes any electrical/infrastructure upgrades required for the new x-ray, as well as new finishes and possible casework. Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin – 6700 University Blvd, Dublin, Ohio – 1 st Floor At Outpatient Care Dublin, we will be adding a new X-ray by creating a new X-ray room and control room/alcove. This will require renovating rooms 1442, 1442A, 1442B, 1442C, 1442D & 1448, which is approximately 1,000 square feet of the existing first floor imaging department. This involves renovating existing MRI prep bays, changing room, and prep work space in addition to the X-ray and control room/alcove. A study/POR completed by OSUWMC Senior Planning for this space will be shared with the shortlisted firms. Equipment coordination is required for this project. The A/E will aid in validating the spaces and construction budget to support any mechanical, electrical, structural, or other utility upgrades as required to support the new X-ray equipment. It is assumed that all three rooms will function as Class 1 imaging rooms per FGI Guidelines. The basis of design for all three new X-ray systems is Siemens Ysio X.pree. These will be considered a single project but will require 3 separate permit sets and multiple GMPs. This project includes asset tagging. The Primary firm submitting for the project is required to have the expertise capable of meeting this prerequisite and is responsible to support their consultants to meet this requirement. The Asset Tagging Process Diagram, Asset Worksheet Template, and LOD Matrix can be accessed via the OSU FOD website (https://fod.osu.edu/resources) under Design Guidelines, Specifications, Standards; Specifications and Standards; Building Information Modeling (BIM).
