Starting Point is the only agency in our region that is specifically designed to provide resource and referral services for the early childcare/education and out-of-school time resources and referral. Through the public private partnership Staring Point receives funding from the State of Ohio that covers the cost of professional development and two data systems that assist with the resource and referral process. Starting Point receives $700,000 from the Cleveland Foundation to cover the cost of professional development and administrative services related to managing out-of-school time process and $50,000 from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Cuyahoga County contributes $1,650,000 which funds direct services to children and youth (OST, literacy, etc.), a quality dosage tracking data system, one staff person to manage the data system, and professional development.
