Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Independent Contractor must / shall: - clear overnight snowfall by 6:30 a.m., or by a time specified by the post commander or authorized OSHP designee. - apply salt and / or “ice melt” agent to all designated areas as necessary to provide for safe, ice free conditions. clear and maintain parking lot, doorways, walkways, entrances, exits and aisle ways as necessary. mark all landscape islands. - keep all fire hydrants, handicapped parking spaces, and trash dumpsters free of snow. When the snow accumulation is less than two (2) inches, the Independent Contractor may be called to remove any snow drifts and/or ice accumulation from the designated areas. The Independent Contractor must arrive onsite within two (2) hours of notification by the post commander or authorized designee.
