Item #1: Seeking portable radios with the following minimum specifications: A) Quantity: 10 radios +/- 2 B) Portable radios must meet the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) minimum recommendations and Electronic Industries Alliance/Telecommunication Industries Association (EIA/TIA) standards for P25 Public Safety 700/800 MHz trunked radio systems. Operable on conventional P25 and analog infrastructure. Capable of simplex operation in conventional P25 and analog modes. Must be operable on 700/800 MHz conventional and trunked frequencies. C) Short antenna, not to exceed four (4) inches. D) Heavy duty construction and weather-sealed cases (meeting Military Standards 810 C, D, E, F and G for shock, vibration, dust, humidity, high/low temperature and blowing rain). E) Top-mounted rotary controls with positive stops, one (1) for volume and one (1) for channel selection. F) Top alpha-numeric display panels. Once an out-of-range condition has been observed the radio must be capable of automatically seeking and affiliating with another authorized radio system, if available.
