Contractor shall be responsible for any and all existing surface preparation in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. The existing surface is painted plywood. Use Henry 345 Patch N’ Level or equivalent for leveling compound. Subfloor must be flat: 3/16” in 10’ or 1/8” in 6’. Vinyl plank flooring shall be Pro Plus Enhanced HD as manufactured by COREtec a Shaw Industries Group, Inc., style VV492, color “Nicola Oak”. Vinyl plank shall have a waterproof foamed core with an attached cork underlayment. Vinyl plank flooring shall be installed in two areas in the Mill building. The main area is approximately 16’ x 17’ for a total area of 272 square feet. The storage area is approximately 6’ x 6’ for a total area of 36 square feet. To minimize shade variation, mix and install flooring from several cartons. Flooring shall be installed using floating method. Proper expansion space 1/4” is required. Undercut all doorjambs. Do not fasten wall moldings and/or transition strips to the flooring. Clean flooring per manufacturer’s requirements after installation.
