Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1A. Each system described in Sections 1L - 5L have diagrams representing that system. All systems will have tank components/fittings located in the approximate areas displayed in the diagrams found at the end of the specifications. 2A. System must be compatible with ground speed oriented spreader control system being used by the Ohio Department of Transportation. 3A. System shall operate between the speeds of 3 and 50 mph. 4A. A frame assembly will be supplied that will securely attach the tank assembly to the dump truck where ODOT specifies for each tank configuration. Hot-dipped galvanized or powder coat black is acceptable. (Excludes the 80 and 180 gallon systems, no frame necessary) 5A. The pump and hydraulic motor will be enclosed in a polyethylene, fiberglass or stainless steel compartment. Compartment lid must be secured to the compartment with polypropylene, fiberglass or stainless steel hinges and/or latches in such a way that it properly eliminates any openings between the lid and compartment. This compartment/lid must completely enclose the motor and pump. 6A. All tank fittings must be bulkhead style fittings. 7A. All systems must have 1.5" overflow vents with a 90 degree tank to hose barb fitting, a 90 degree hose barb fitting, and a 1.5" hose on each tank. Bulkhead fitting location to be on top of the tank, dead center side to side and front to back.
