DLA Weapons Support (Columbus) is preparing to solicit a long-term contract for the NSNs listed below. This announcement is considered market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. The solicitation will be synopsized separately later. The purpose of this notice is to identify qualified business concerns interested in submitting a proposal on the below listed NSN(s).

The currently approved manufacturer and associated part numbers for each item are listed in Attachment 2 titled, Market Research NSN Spreadsheet. While DLA may have drawings/specifications associated with these items, only the source and part numbers listed are currently approved.
This part(s) must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a source control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of another part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Although, by DoD-STD-100 definition, altered and selected items shall have an adequate technical data package, data review discloses that required data or data rights are not in Government possession and cannot be economically obtained.
The data needed to acquire this part(s) competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) limits distribution of export-control technical data to DLA contractors that have an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification, have completed the Introduction to Proper Handling of DOD Export-Controlled Technical Data Training and the DLA Export-Controlled Technical Data Questionnaire (both are available at the web address given below), and have been approved by the DLA controlling authority to access the export-controlled data.
