Specifications include, but are not limited to: Through this selection process, ODNR intends to engage a Design-Builder to provide design and construction services for 80 new full-service campsites, a washhouse, a campground office / check-in building, and infrastructure at Jesse Owens State Park located at 4470 E State Route 78 NE, McConnelsville, OH 43756. This park that is a success story in environmental stewardship, conservation and reclaiming land for outdoor recreation. Located in Morgan County and surrounded by thousands of acres of land open to public use, the park is teeming with wildlife. A popular hunting area, the park offers four primitive campgrounds at no charge. The park's variety of ponds and lakes offer plentiful fishing and paddling options. Additional acres are available for hunting and fishing in the adjacent wildlife areas. The improvements to the campground at Sawmill Road will increase visitor opportunities to enjoy this unique area. This project is the latest phase of an on-going campground improvements program that has been underway since 2015.
