Specifications include, but are not limited to: Respondent, as Consultant, shall be capable of providing, and shall provide, the following services: 1. Develop underwriting and marketing strategies to competitively secure the best coverage(s) for the above-described activities and property at the most reasonable cost using retention, contractual risk transfer or other risk-financing techniques consistent with the City’s needs for the RNC and instructions. 2. Identify viable insurance markets for the City’s insurance needs and fully detail a proposed insurance marketing plan to the City for review prior to approaching insurers. 3. After satisfactory performance of items 1 and 2 above in this Section 2.1, request quotations for specified insurance coverages, respond to the underwriters’ questions and compile information sufficient to enable them to fairly evaluate their exposures. 4. Review insurance proposals received from prospective insurers for accuracy and conformity to specifications and negotiated coverage. Recommend policy coverages, limits, deductibles, perils, exclusions or changes in terms as needed. Request modifications from an insurer upon the City's concurrence. 5. Obtain, review and analyze for the City competitive bids or proposals, as applicable, from the insurance industry participants to enable Consultant on behalf of the City to negotiate the best terms and coverage from the various insurers. Present all alternatives to the Director in a timely manner.
