Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Agency of Inspector General (“AIG”) is in need of an eDiscovery solution for our new contract period commencing on August 1, 2023. The solution would be utilized by the AIG to search a wide range of documents, files, and locations such as: email inboxes, large PDF files, and zipped (.zip) documents containing many different file types. Considering how large many of these files can be – a solution would need to be able to actively create an index to be used for search criterium and provide an intuitive interface to navigate to desired results. Due to the size of documents being reviewed by the AIG, the solution would also need to have storage that can contain all documents related to an investigation, anywhere from 50 to 100 GB uploaded annually. Security is a major concern for any eDiscovery solution, especially one hosted in the cloud. Because of this, a prospective solution would need to have proper access controls and other controls as recommended by CIS in their “Critical Security Controls version 8” document. An appropriate and viable solution would also need to have certain features such as recursive data parsing, tagging and organization, file format conversion, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Email threading, and data visualization. A SaaS software licensing model of concurrent licensing, a fixed monthly amount with unlimited licenses or pay as you go based on data volume uploaded into the solution are all acceptable methods for the quote to be based on.
