Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project Description Two open mine entries pose a danger to neighbors and children who live in close proximity to the mine. The entries are within 150’ to homes and Condor Street. The area around the entries shows evidence of recent visitation, including trash piled in front of the entries. Both of the portals are recessed 25’ under a dangerous rock outcrop. Stone pillars and wood timbers are currently supporting this large mass of sandstone. Two additional support columns will be constructed under the rock outcrop and a light duty bat gate will be constructed to limit access. Also a clogged mine drain will be replaced and routed to a storm sewer system. The Hanson Mine Entries project is located in Meigs County, Salisbury Township, Village of Pomeroy. Site access shall be from Condor Street. Major work items in this project include, but are not limited, to Debris Removal and Disposal, 143 LF of Outlet Pipe, 2 Catch Basins, 24 CY of Approved Resoil, and 652 SF of Light Duty Bat Gate.
