The selected architectural firm will be responsible for the following tasks: Fire Station 71 Renovation Assessment - A facility assessment for the renovation of Fire Station 71, located at 2095 Arlington Avenue (last renovated in 1992). The assessment should evaluate potential new locations for the fire station, as well as provide a high-level conceptual design for renovating the existing facility. This renovation will focus on improving storage, office space, bunking (with gender separation), equipment, and apparatus areas. The design should meet contemporary national standards for fire facilities, particularly NFPA 1500, in areas such as infection control, personnel and equipment decontamination, cancer prevention, storage of protective clothing, and employee health and wellness. The final report should include renovation recommendations vs. relocation, along with cost estimates. Fire Station 72 Office Expansion - Architectural design and planning for the addition of office space at Fire Station 72, located at 3861 Reed Road, to be completed by mid-2025.
