General: The City of Vandalia desires to obtain professional design services to prepare construction plans, and cost estimates for the Poe Ave, Wyse Rd, Miller Ln Resurfacing project (“Project”). This project has been submitted to MVRPC and will receive Surface Transportation Program funding for a part of the construction costs. 100% of the Engineering and Design cost will be paid by the City of Vandalia. The project will be an LPA Federal ODOT-Let project and all plans will be reviewed by ODOT and the City of Vandalia. A copy of the LPA Scope of Services is attached. Consultant must be ODOT prequalified in all aspects of the project. Project Description: The Project will have limits on Poe Avenue from 260' north of Image Drive to Stop Eight Road, on Wyse Road from Interstate Route 75 bridge to Webster Street, and on Miller Lane from Benchwood Road to Stop Eight Road. The project length is approximately 9,000 lineal feet and the pavement width is average 45 feet. Completed Construction Plans shall meet all ODOT requirements for a resurfacing project and shall include but are not limited to the following. • Mill 1.5” and resurface all existing asphalt pavement in the Project limits stated above. • Identify and calculate any area that will require full depth pavement repairs. • Locate and identify all traffic signal loop detectors to be replaced after milling. • Replace all pavement markings. Scope of Services: Professional design services shall include but are not limited to the following items of work: • The selected consultant shall provide all field surveys and design needed to prepare the construction drawings for the project in accordance with all state and local regulations for the Poe Ave, Wyse Rd, Miller Ln Resurfacing project. • Provide a detailed Construction Cost Estimate. • Coordinate with ODOT for any and all reviews in accordance with the schedule in the attached Scope of Services.
