1. The entrance of the station is to be located along the west side of E. 79th Street and serves as both the entrance to the station and a waiting environment for the GCRTA No. 2 bus route. At the station entrance a small headhouse structure will be constructed with canopy overhangs to provide protection from the elements. The structure will be constructed primarily of structural steel framing with metal panel canopies and aluminum storefront walls. 2. A new, ADA-compliant crosswalk will be included to provide access to the east side of E. 79th Street. The crosswalk shall include curb ramps, rapid flash beacons, street signage and pavement markings. Design will be coordinated with the City of Cleveland. 3. Provided covered access, via stair/ramp, from the E. 79th Street to the station’s platform constructed per ADA and GCRTA requirements. 4. Construction of two new light rail platforms for the eastbound and westbound loadings constructed per ADA and GCRTA requirements. The platforms will be cast in place, with embedded tactile panels. The platform length will be sufficient for 3-car trains. Other amenities at the station platform level include shelter for waiting passengers, wayfinding signage, emergency call boxes, cameras, and new lighting. 5. An ADA compliant pedestrian grade crossing to provide accessible access from the eastbound platform to the westbound platform.
