Vendor to provide the disposal of approximately 7,000 cubic yards of construction and demolition debris (C & D) for the City of Cleveland. This material will be delivered to the disposal facility(s) via direct haul by authorized vehicles. The City is seeking bids for disposal facilities in or near the East, and West sides of the City of Cleveland. Bidder must be an authorized and permitted landfill, transfer station or recycle/reclaim facility sites for the disposal of waste generated by various locations managed by the Department of Public Works. a. The waste material is construction and demolition debris from the alteration, construction, destruction, rehabilitation, or repair of any physical structure that is built by humans, including, without limitation, houses, buildings, industrial or commercial facilities, or roadways. "Construction and demolition debris" includes particles and dust created during demolition activities. b. The debris shall be hauled to the authorized landfill, transfer station or recycle/reclaim facility site(s) by City vehicles. Site should be open and accessible during the City's hours of operation, normally 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:00am to 12:00 noon. The contractor shall supply adequate and non-hazardous roadway access to the area in which dumping is permitted. e. The roadway shall be free of hazards to trucks and personnel. If the dumping area does not have proper access; the contractor shall supply an alternate location on the site, at no additional cost to the CITY. f. If the contractor fails to provide a non-hazardous, an alternate dump location on the site, then contractor shall be liable to the City for any additional expenses incurred by the City as a result of having to return to the landfill, transfer station or other facilities at another time. g. The City shall notify the contractor of any additional expenses incurred due to the contractor's failure to provide a non-hazardous , alternate , locations, and the City shall deduct the costs on the next invoice.
