This project involves the demolition of a structure on Mohican wildlife area (figures 1). This structure consists of a concrete block foundation, and timber and chinking wall. This site has been reviewed by the State Historic Preservation Office and has been inspected and abated for Asbestos (documentation available upon request). All remaining required permits and reporting must be completed by the contractor (e.g. OEPA demolition, ODNR well sealing, 811, etc.) for building demolition and well sealing at these sites, as required. All utilities have been disconnected for this structure. Foundations below 3 feet in depth must be removed or be rendered permeable so water does not collect and foundation materials less than 3 feet in depth must be removed]. All above-ground building and foundation debris must be hauled off-site. Any landscaping or concrete walkways within 10 feet of the buildings must be buried or hauled off site and impacts to native trees and vegetation should be minimized. All holes and depressions made from the demolition work must be filled, graded level, and seeded with oat or winter wheat cover crop, and strawed before payment will be made to the contractor. Before equipment is hauled off-site, the contractor must meet with the Wildlife Management Consultant to ensure project satisfaction. Deadline for work completion is August 1st 2025.
