Specifications include, but are not limited to: Turf Care • All grass shall be mowed weekly starting the first full week of April through the second week of October –approximately 28 occurrences. This includes grass around the warehouse facility that sits at the rear of the property, against railroad tracks. • Line trim around all posts, signs, trees, fence lines, hydrants, etc. Once per week. • Blow clippings after each mowing. Clean and remove reasonable litter. Edging • Edge sidewalks and curbs once per month, April – October. Blow clippings. Fertilizing • Turf fertilizer application 4 times per year. Must include a spring weed and crabgrass retardant (preemergent), a broadleaf weed herbicide, and winterization in the fall. Landscaping – Mulch beds around the office complex only. • Edge plant beds – late April or early May. • Remove leaves, litter, and debris from plant beds – late April or early May. • Apply spring-time granular weed retardant in plant beds – late April or early May • Install a 2-inch layer of double-processed hardwood mulch, black in color – in late April or early May. • Prune new growth and landscape shrubbery (May or June). • Weed plant beds twice monthly, hand weed and/or herbicide applications. Herbicide applications in gravel areas monthly. • Fall clean-up. Late October – early December. Remove leaves from lawn, plant beds, and parking lot, including the loading dock at the rear warehouse.
