Specifications include, but are not limited to: Custom Farming, Corn for dove fields: Contractor is responsible for providing all materials and labor required for all field preparation, planting of corn, spraying, and tending the crop, and leaving the crop standing. Corn seed must be neonicotinoid free. Corn shall be planted in the areas designated on the map (appendix A) and must average 5’ in height or greater by August 15th. If planting conditions do not allow corn to be planted by June 19th Sudan grass may be used as an alternative hunter cover crop. The contractor is responsible for planting a minimum of 12 rows of corn down the middle of each wheat field. The four center rows of the corn planted must not be planted to provide an ingress/egress path. Pre-hunting season manipulation – Contractor is responsible for spraying corn and unharvested wheat using a minimum of 2quarts/acre Glyphosate between August 1st and 15th. Pre-hunting season manipulation – Between August 25th -30th the contractor is responsible for bush hogging and lightly discing the wheat crop to expose seeds and bare soil. During the same time frame the contractor is responsible for mowing 60 foot wide retrieval zones on the outside of the wheat crop.
