Development should be purposeful to protect or enhance the natural environment. o Upgrades to site utilities and on-site stormwater management, including assessment of existing municipal combined sewage systems, possible green infrastructure facilities, and restoration of headwater stream and/or wetlands. o Pedestrian access points and site circulation, including accessible paths and trail network with boardwalks and overlooks to reduce disturbance and highlight site features. o Vehicular access, parking, and connections to public transit. o Outdoor amenities to support educational opportunities, including an outdoor classroom and natural playscapes. • Building Improvements o Renovations and New Construction to accommodate a new Urban Ecology Center. Building program includes: Accessible all-season restrooms Nature/Interpretive center Education spaces for up to 60 Greenhouse (educational, not production) Offices and support space for Great Parks staff 7 Storage for guest experience and maintenance teams o Renovations must be sensitive to historic character of existing buildings: Dairy Barn, Carriage House, Caretaker’s House, and remnant structure at former Greenhouse o New construction as required to support architectural program, such as: Maintenance building Greenhouse addition
