Provide professional cost estimating services on an as-needed basis. The selected consultant will assist the City with the preparation, review, and defense of cost estimates associated with property maintenance and building code violations. Development of Cost Estimating Tool: The City is in the process of creating a cost estimating tool that will include unit costs for the correction of standard housing code violations. The consultant will aide in providing and reviewing unit costs used in the cost estimating tool. Developing Cost Estimates As Needed for Correction of Complex Violations: The consultant will be called upon from time to time, via email, to provide a ball park cost estimate to correct specific complex violations. The City will email a series of photos with a narrative of the scope with dimensions to correct a violation.
