On behalf of the City of Dayton, Next Street has worked to identify a Dayton-based organization/entity to house and operate the Inclusive Business Recovery Opportunity Center (IBROC). Next Street has been guiding the evolution and program framework of the IBROC for the past year, designing a Business Implementation and Financial Plan. While we are nearing the selection of the organizational home of IBROC as we close out 2024, the announcement of the selected entity will not occur until the rst quarter of 2025, with the full program scheduled to launch and begin in Spring 2025. The need for the IBROC and a program to support small businesses arose from the 2021 Dayton Inclusive Recovery Playbook. The Dayton Playbook, combined with additional small business ecosystem research, stakeholder interviews, and community feedback identied that there is a strong need and opportunity for ecosystem infrastructure programming to help entrepreneurs thrive in Dayton, Ohio.
