The contractor under this option will manage a total Biosolids disposal program for the City, ensuring that all applicable regulations have been followed. The City shall make processed Biosolids available to the contractor at the Biosolids Storage Building located on the Water Reclamation Facility site. The Vendor shall load Biosolids into properly designed trucks using his own equipment, or equipment under lease or other long-term agreement. The Contractor shall manage the program to maximize amount of Biosolids land applied and minimize amount of Biosolids landfilled. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring adequate room exists in the Biosolids building at all times for the City to store Biosolids and operate dewatering equipment as needed. If, by the agreement of the contractor and the City, the inert and/or trashy content of the dewatered Biosolids make it unsuitable for land application, the tipping fees for the landfill disposal of the contaminated Biosolids will be paid by the City. The con tractor will pay the landfill operator and the landfill fees will be added to the monthly invoice without additional mark up.
