Fixed Camera System: With the current software upgrade, all 20 fixed cameras have not detected any plates since June of 2024. Portable Camera System: Currently all nine L6Q (quick deploy cameras) are functioning on average 4000 plates a day. Portable Systems: The fleet of speed trailer ALPR are totally broken at this point. CPD will take delivery of one ALPR trailer in December of 2024. Mobile Systems: There are 24 cameras operational currently. Within these twenty-four cameras, eight will become obsolete and will not be CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) complaint beginning October 2024 This RFI is for the Fixed Camera System portion of the ALPR only. CPD will not entertain any submissions for Portable, Mobile or Convert Mobile Systems at this time. City of Cincinnati Police Department is researching and expanding its Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) fixed camera program. We’re undergoing a 5 five-year replacement plan process, and we need providers in this space to provide innovative ideas for the future of the ALPR program at Cincinnati PD.
