Clark State College is undertaking an interior renovation of approximately 10,000 square feet within the Applied Science Center at its Springfield, Ohio campus. This renovation is focused on modernizing and reconfiguring interior spaces to better support academic programs, enhance administrative functions, and provide a more contemporary, student centered environment. A major component of the project includes the creation of a new administration suite for the School of Nursing and Allied Health programs, offering dedicated offices, meeting areas, and support spaces tailored to faculty, staff, and prospective students. Additional renovations will enhance instructional labs, classrooms, faculty offices, and shared collaboration areas. The project also emphasizes the creation of welcoming and functional student spaces throughout the renovated area. These include group study areas, a medium-sized conference room for academic meetings and collaborative work, and several student lounge spaces distributed across the renovated footprint. A centrally located space with a kitchenette and vending area will provide a convenient and comfortable environment for students to relax, study, and engage informally between classes. The interior scope of work includes the installation of modern finishes, upgraded lighting, and state-of-the-art instructional technology to improve functionality and create a high performing educational environment. Mechanical upgrades will include air distribution systems and building controls on the first floor. Additionally, the renovation will include the installation of a wet pipe fire sprinkler system in accordance with current life safety codes.
