Professional construction engineering and inspection services are requested to provide for proper reclamation of eligible abandoned mine lands throughout the coal fields of Eastern and Southeastern Ohio. Ohio’s Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) program within Division of Mineral Resources Management (DMRM) is dedicated to proper reclamation of abandoned mine sites to restore unusable lands that pose dangers to health/safety of the public and/or environment to that of productive areas for use by private and/or public landowners. Projects are initiated based on eligibility determination and initial private landowner approval to perform work on their property. DMRM will administer projects. DMRM will maintain statement of qualifications submitted for a one (1) year period July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026. These consultants will be utilized for projects with a professional services fee of under $50,000. Selection will be undertaken in accordance with OAC 153:1-1-02 or Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 153.71 (A). Firms will be required to submit Statement of Qualifications annually each June to continue to be considered for selection. While a firm who qualifies is eligible for award of contracts, DMRM does not guarantee that a firm will be awarded any work or make a representation of amount of work a firm may receive.
