The City of Columbus, Department of Finance and Management, Purchasing Office, is seeking Request for Proposals (BVPs) to provide the City with a Contract for diesel powered 3 Wheel Street Sweepers and compressed natural gas (CNG) and diesel powered 4 Wheel Street Sweepers. The City is seeking proposals from responsible contractors capable of providing the needed equipment. It is the intent of these specifications to describe tandem and single axle trucks with live body beds and snow removal equipment in sufficient detail to secure proposals. Offerors should address each subsection in their proposal. The technical specifications are to provide offerors with guidelines. They are not meant to prevent offerors from proposing alternate solutions. In all instances, the Offeror is to clearly indicate how the proposed solution meets the desire of the City of Columbus for 3 Wheel and 4 Wheel Street Sweepers. Unless otherwise noted, technical specifications will describe equipment used for both 3 Wheel and 4 Wheel Street Sweepers. The offeror shall include an appropriate explanation of the type of equipment offered in detail, and with full supporting data to ensure that the City can properly evaluate the proposal.
