The City of Columbus Department of Building and Zoning Services (hereinafter “City”) is seeking a tire disposal services contractor (hereinafter “Contractor”) to receive and dispose of tires and wheels as needed from City-approved vendors and employees (hereinafter “vendors”). The City is in need of a Contractor with a facility to accept and dispose of these tires and wheels that its vendors and employees encounter while abating nuisance properties. The City estimates the disposal of 2,000 tires with this agreement, with a majority of these being car and light truck tires. The City contracts annually for tire and wheel disposal resulting from the abatement of specifically designated, privately owned properties where the City determined it was necessary to take action pursuant to Columbus City Code Section 701.19. The awarded vendor will accept all tires and wheels and dispose of them in accordance with all applicable codes.
