Funding statement must be included on all media ads- “Funding for this project was made possible (in part) by the Ohio State Opiate Response (SOR) -5H79TI083294-02 Grant from Health and Human Services and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.” In 2020, African Americans died of unintentional overdoses at an age-adjusted rate of 75.2 per 100,000; this is 29% higher than the rate for Whites in the same year. Black men had an especially high rate of overdose deaths. This group died at a rate of 111.3 per 100,000; this is 75% higher than the rate for Montgomery County. Associated Campaign Contents *News Releases: Public Health will create and send and official news releases and other creative campaign items to local media outlets in order to reach as many community members as possible, and particularly the target population, through print, radio broadcast and radio streaming, social media, and television. *Social Media: Messages will be created that will be shared via Public Health's social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter, and on the agency's intranet and internet pages. Agency will use these messages in paid media buys. *Flyers/Billboards: Graphics will be created and disseminated by Public Health to community partners via e-mail blasts to e-mail distribution/share lists, as well as via physical billboards in priority zip-codes. *Media Interviews: will participate in media interviews to promote local initiative. *Paid Radio Spots: radio and other media spots will be purchased to increase the agency's reach to target populations.
