Specifications include, but are not limited to: Chemicals for water treatment and water pollution control shall have the approval of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Public Health Service and conform to AWWA standards for the use in purifying and/or softening of potable water; technical data and safe-handling procedures to be furnished with the bid. All chemicals, substances, and materials added to or brought in contact with water or intended to be used in a public water system or used for the purpose of treating, conditioning, altering, or modifying the characteristics of such water shall be shown by either the manufacturer, distributor, or purveyor to be non-toxic and harmless to humans when used in accordance with the formulation and concentration as specified by the manufacturer, and shall conform with the “American National Standards Institute/National Sanitation Foundation” (ANSI/NSF) standard 60 or 61. Any organization certified by the “American National Standards Institute” may certify in writing that a product conforms to these standards. It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to include with the bid documentation, ANSI/NSF 60 certification and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals included in the bid. PEBBLE LIME, 2,000 tons, more or less, high Calcium Quick Lime. Lime shall be crushed and screened to pass a 1/2" sieve but less than ten percent (10%) shall pass a 1/4" sieve. Bid price shall be based on 90 percent available calcium oxide with A.W.W.A. Standard B202 specification and penalties applied. Bonuses do not apply. Shipments to be 20 tons more or less, unless otherwise specified. POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE, 15,000 pounds, more or less, of free flowing grade suitable for use in taste and odor control of potable water, delivered in 3307 lb. Carus Chemical cycle-bin. LIQUID CARBON DIOXIDE, 300 tons, more or less, food grade. Product to be delivered in approximately 20 ton, self-unloading tanker trucks at approximately 0 degrees F. and 300 psi. (Liquid CO2 or carbon dioxide to be 99.5% pure.) SODIUM CARBONATE PEROXYHYDRATE, 10,000 pounds, more or less, 85% active ingredient, granular in 50 pound bags, used as algaecide. (ex.
