Specifications include, but are not limited to: Specifications and bidding blanks may be obtained at the Office of the City Administrator. Specifications will be sent as soon as possible after receipt of the request. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bond with an approved surety Company, in the sum of $500 as surety for the execution of the Purchase Agreement. A certified check on a solvent bank, drawn and made payable to The City of Defiance, Ohio, in the sum of $500 will be accepted in lieu of said bond. Should any bid be rejected, such bond or certified check shall be returned to the bidder after proper execution of the Contract by the successful bidder, and, should any bid be accepted, such bond or certified check will be returned upon proper execution and securing of the Purchase Agreement. Should the successful bidder not be able to deliver the rock salt according to the proposal and within the allotted time of the date award of the contract is made, the bidder will forfeit the $500 surety . The City of Defiance, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to award to the lowest and best bidder, and to waive any irregularities in bidding.
